Lorenzo de Medici Workshop – Wessex Beaders
I’ll be teaching the Lorenzo de Medici Bracelet workshop again, March 22, for the Wessex Beaders, and I’ve already had a few queries about where to source the beautiful Swarovski 10mm Space Cut and Chessboard crystals, so I thought I’d let you know what I have available. I have a good stock of all you can see here – slightly limited Vitrail Medium; I’ve also just found 14 Light Amethyst Space Cuts (not pictured) which are easily enough for a bracelet. Click on the images for a closer look. These stones are all multifaceted and so gorgeous you want to eat them, but the difference between them is that the Space Cuts are chunky, high cut crystals and the Chessboards are flatter and more subtle. I adore both as they have such amazing depth of colour and, they both work well in the Lorenzo design, so it just depends on how much bling you like!
Space Cuts (clockwise): Golden Shadow, Crystal AB, Vitrail Medium, Crystal Comet Argent Light (CAL), Crystal Copper and Indicolite.
Chessboards (clockwise): Black Diamond, Light Siam, Crystal AB, Bermuda Blue (Asymmetric Squares – work the same as a Chessboard Crystal), Aquamarine, Crystal Copper.
Swarovski have discontinued all of these lovely stones so, again, it’s a case of once they’re gawn, they’re gawn! If you want me to set some aside for the workshop email me.

Hi Melanie, I have booked to do the Lorenzo de Medici workshop with you on March 22nd. Could I please reserve sufficient Chessboard crystals to make the bracelet plus two extras to make earrings in the both Light Siam and the Black Diamond colours. Do you plan to have full kits available? Will you also be bringing the crystals with you on the day? I am really looking forward to it all! Many thanks, Rosemary.

Glad to have you on board! I have plenty of both those colours available, but I will have all the crystals with me that day. I may have a few kits left but not in those colours.
