After the Olympia K&S Show

After the Olympia K&S Show

2 versions of my Byzantine Cross design - by Melanie de Miguel at Beadschool

I’ve just had 3 fabulous days teaching my Crystal Finger Candy Rings and Crystal Rosette Pendant at the Spring Knitting & Stitching Show. I met lots of lovely ladies who had never picked up beads for bead weaving before, which was a great challenge but fun – I definitely had some converts by the end of the classes!

This year is certainly proving to be very hectic, but exciting. I’m now starting to gear up for the upcoming weekend when I will be teaching my Byzantine Cross workshop for a Great Escapes retreat. Personally, I’m hoping the rain sets in, so we’ll be all cosy in our room, beading away, chatting and laughing.

I’m gathering up my supplies for the weekend – Rivolis, Flat back and bi-cone crystals, tiny freshwater pearls, size 11º seed beads, size 15ºs and size 15º Czech Charlottes. I’m sorely tempted to sit down tonight and make one entirely out of Charlottes – it’ll be the smallest one yet – the trouble is which colour, oh dear! I got hold of some of the stunning Marcasite AB Charlottes, so maybe……mmmmmmm!
